KD DANCE Uniform

RAD Approved examination wear always bears the RAD logo, both on the garments and on the packaging. All students must come to class with the correct uniform.

The KD Dance uniform can be purchased at Maggie’s Gymnastic & Dancewear Boutique, Downpatrick.
They no longer have a shop but if messaged on facebook allow appointments to be made to buy uniform from home.

Socks, tights and Shoes can also be purchased from KD Dance Academy.

Little Swans and Debutants (Girls)

Size Guide
Girls leotards, cardigans and boys t-shirts
  • 00 = age 3-4
  • 0 = age 5-6
  • 1 = age 7-8
  • 2 = age 9-10
  • 2a = age 11-12
Girls Skirts
  • 18 inches = age 3-4
  • 20 inches = age 5-6
  • 22 inches = age 7-8
  • 24 inches = 9-10
Boys Shorts
  • 20 inches = age 3-4
  • 22 inches = age 5-6
  • 24 inches = age 7-8
  • 26 inches = ages 9-10
Ballet Socks = based on shoe size.
Ballet Shoes = These are not the same sizes as normal shoes and it is advised to order a size up from normal feet size.
Hair

Must always be neat and tidy

Girls:- Hair should be worn in a bun:

  • Pull hair into a tight ponytail
  • Secure with an elastic hair band
  • Brush/comb loose hair (including fringe) back with hairspray/gel
  • Twist ponytail around into a bun ensuring this stays tight and flat
  • Place a hair net over the bun and secure with hairpins
  • No hair bands (except for very short hair) or other hair decoration
